2022.01.26 02:07 AcornsAndPumpkins Why does everyone talk about relaxing the pelvic floor?
Alright! I’m new to this shitty condition and I have a question.
My muscles fucking hurt. Some days they feel like they’re strangling my urethra and I’m doubled over in pain. I feel a hot, prickly sensation down there all the time and it hurts to even touch it.
To my knowledge, the muscles that hurt me aren’t the same ones I use to clench/pee. Those feel higher than where most of my pain is. With that being said, all of it hurts, but my question is this-
Will relaxing a few muscles improve the whole network?
Because everyone talks about relaxing but the muscles that KILL me aren’t even moveable. Any advice appreciated!

Seems like it's easier to scale faster with Amazon FBA first because of lower customer acquisition costs but long-run ideally you want to be selling on your own platform or site so that you have full over you customer lists..

2022.01.26 02:07 RanchHand1670 I work on a Farm in the Middle of Nowhere Part 4
Hey y’all, I know that it's been a bit, and that's definitely my fault. School just started back up for me, so I've been a bit preoccupied. Nevertheless, I thought that I would share my most confusing story of the farm, the first encounter I had with “Pan Man”.
So, if you don't know a bit about who I am by now, I request that you go back and read parts 1, 2, and 3. While reading the stories in order doesn’t really matter, some details are explained better in prior parts, and in some of the later ones I just glaze over them. Now, as we all know by now, I work on a small, family run farm in the middle of west Nebraska. With only the trees and animals to keep me company most of the time, it's easy to forget that other people exist.
This story took place after one of my worst shows, about a year and a half ago. I had competed in a couple of jumper events with my favorite horse Haribo (like the german gummy company), and we had done absolutely horrible at the day's events. I won’t bore you with the details, but he bucked me off twice in front of over 200 people, so I was a bit mad at him.
One of my jobs after shows is to put all of the horses back while Theo and Tyler put tack and other gear back. By the time that I had gotten done putting the 5 horses that we had brought away, I was feeling a bit hungry as it was probably around 2, and I had not eaten lunch yet. So, I hunkered down under my favorite tree in the geldings’ pen, and ate a sandwich, some sort of energy drink, and some other things.
I haven’t mentioned this before, but because I work outside, in and around children, and with animals, I can’t really listen to music all that often. What if there’s a kid calling for help and I’m walking right by with Beyonce or Adele playing in my ears? Or what if the animals in the barn are spooking at something and I’ve got Arianna Grande blasting? As much as I love music, safety comes first. So, on the rare occasion that I am alone and in a safe area, I get to listen to whatever I want, excluding songs with curse words as the owners have a young son whom they don’t want to learn any fun new words.
So, as I’m eating my lunch under this huge tree, listening to some pop song, I start to hear some weird music playing in the background, something resembling the sound of one of those pan flutes. As my music begins to taper off, the pan flute only begins to grow louder. The melody was something that sounded familiar, but something that, to this day, I can’t really place.
So, as I’m listening to this, I get the feeling that whoever is playing this music is trying to lure me into the woods, something that isn’t really all that hard. You see, I work with a lot of small children, so when I hear some person playing music in the woods, trying to lure someone in, I immediately assume that some creepy middle aged man is trying to kidnap one of the kids. Better I meet him with my switchblade, than one of the younger kids find him.
So, I stood up and started walking in the direction of the noise, coming from the south, which was odd, because there was a slight breeze coming from the east. As I hopped the geldings’ fence to the woods, the noise switched directions to the west, away from the farm, and, of course, I foolishly followed.
After this, the sound continued to switch directions every time that I seemed to be able to locate where it was coming from. For every hundred or so feet I got closer to the sound, the pan flute would seamlessly start coming from some other direction another couple of hundred feet away.
In the beginning, I could tell where the farm was, but about twenty minutes into the chase, I couldn't tell where I was at all. For all I knew, up was down, and vice versa. This was the point where the pan dampered off, and finally finished it’s melody. It had been relatively close to where I had been standing, so staying where I was, I began to look around. Thick trees on all sides of me, small shrubs littering the area I was in, and some sort of hunting ledge in the trees, with some of that obnoxious orange camo. I focused my attention there, because I swore that I would see someone standing up there.
When I was finally able to focus on one thing in those swaying trees, I saw him. The biggest, most muscular man I had ever seen. From the trees he had looked huge, at least seven feet tall, and with muscles that would win any body building competition, the pan flute hanging from a string around his neck. Neither of us moved. I stared at him, and he at me. I figured that this might’ve been a similar Smiling Lady type deal, and slowly started to back into the trees behind me, still not taking my eyes off of him. He didn't move.
The dumbass I am, decided to turn around and book it out of there. Of course, as soon as I took my eyes off the guy, I heard a loud boom behind me, and he was standing right where I had been, no doubt having jumped the couple dozen feet to the ground beneath his original spot. I wouldn’t say that I was super scared by this point, but I was anxious. Ratman and the old man from the story before had both fought back pretty well, and with him standing on the ground 30 feet in front of me, I could tell that any fight that transpired between us would end in him being the victor.
He was easily 7 feet tall, and his muscles had muscles. He was wearing overalls with a thin white wife beater underneath, and with every breath he took, I could see his abdomen expanding and retracting. I grabbed my knife from my pocket, and foolishly took my eyes off him once again, trying to plot my escape, when I felt the knife in my hand being wretched away by this man. He stood right in front of me with the most neutral look on his face, almost like I wasn’t worth his time before stepping back, and chucking my now closed switchblade at my head. It struck one of my temples, and I blacked out immediately, pissed that he hadn’t at least hit me, that I had fallen with a simple object thrown at my head.
I would say that waking up was by far the most disorienting thing in this story. As I opened my eyes, and slowly started to remember what had just happened, I slowly became aware that I was tied up. And even more noticeable, that my head was covered with blood because I was hanging upside down. Looking down, or up, I don't really know what I would call it. But looking towards the ground, I could see one of the biggest pots/ cauldrons I had ever seen in my life. This thing was the size of an aquarium, and was just in the beginning stages of a boil. Looking around me, I saw that the sun was beginning to set, and that it would probably be night soon. I had been asleep for hours
Slowly, it dawned on me that maybe the reason that the only thing in the pot was water, was because I was going in next. My rough day had only gotten worse. I looked around and couldn’t find the man to be anywhere around, and started struggling with the restraints on my wrists. Now, I never officially joined scouts for a couple of reasons, but a couple of times that I was with my brother, who became an eagle scout, we worked on knots. I’m relatively good at tying them, but even better at untying them. And I’m going to be honest, Pan Man’s knots sucked, so untying the restraints on my wrists while suspended in the air over a pot of almost boiling water, wasn’t all that hard.
I was careful not to let the rope fall, because I didn’t want to alert my kidnapper that I had gotten some semblance of freedom in my predicament. This was when I noticed him strolling right back in with mountains of wood in his hands. Like the stack in his arms was much higher than his head, but of course, the guy was not struggling with the weight at all. As he stoked the fire, I figured that the best course of action was to plead, and then act if it didn’t work.
“Um, I'm not sure how to phrase this, but could you please let me down man?”
The man beneath me only looked up with the same uninterested neutral face from before, and continued stocking the fire.
“Look man, I don’t eat the best, and there’s not even a lot of meat on me, so I guarantee that I taste like actual shit.” My captor sighed, looked up at me, and held a finger to his lips in a shushing motion. Pleading obviously wasn’t going to get me anywhere.
I looked at the ground, and began to search for my knife. I eventually found it stuck in a tree where the rope that was probably holding my weight was secured. The man beneath me, noticing my searching, had started off towards that tree, and was looking up at me with the first hint of emotion that I had seen on himt at entire day, a smile. He knew that I knew that there was probably no escape, and was probably basking in that achievement. I of course was chastising him in my head because this dumbass couldn’t even tie his knots properly.
He pulled the knife out of the tree from where it had been hiding, and motioned up at me, one of those slicing your neck things that always mean you’re dead, right before cutting the rope, and plugging me into the scalding waters below.
I had been expecting this, and immediately pulled on the rope securing my legs, and threw myself over the side of the pot, and onto the ground several feet below. I landed on my side, knocking the air out of my lungs, before jumping to my newly unbound feet, before collapsing right back on the ground because of the bloodrush to my head, and my very apparent concussion by this point.
Adrenaline finally kicked in, and jumped to my feet, and ran towards my knife that had fallen out of my captor's hands and onto the ground. I grabbed it from his feet and scrambled back when I realized that he had somehow jumped up into the trees above me, and was climbing away through the branches.
I didn’t know what it meant if he came back, so I ran the opposite direction, hoping that it would lead me to the barn. I was probably only able to run for fifteen minute before falling over from exhaustion, pain, and disorientation. As soon as my head hit the ground I once again fell asleep.
I don’t know how much time had passed from when I fell to when I woke up, but the setting sun had transformed into dawn, and I noticed Theo kneeling above me, shaking the everlasting shit out of my head. I think I yelled something along the lines of “If you keep shaking my head, you’ll give me a concussion” and Theo immediately stopped, and exclaimed, “Oh my god, I can’t believe you’re alive!”, before squeezing the life out of me.
I had just woken up, and was very confused, but Theo seemed to notice my apparent lack of all of the who, what, where, whens, and hows. Without many further questions she pulled me up onto the four wheeler that she had been driving around on, and told me to grab onto her, before driving over half an hour back to the main farmhouse and barns.
After getting there, she helped me to a couch that the other workers and I had brought in one of the empty barns as a type of break area. As I rested my head and body. She tried to patch all of the little cuts, and treat some of the burns on my body. She called a doctor in the town I lived in, and firmly told me that she was taking me to the doctor first thing the next morning. I knew that arguing would get me nowhere, so I agreed, and asked that she drive me home. She, obviously, obliged.
On the car ride back, she mentioned that I had been gone for over four days. I was flabbergasted. I had gone unconscious twice, so had I fallen asleep for two day each, or had I fainted in the woods for over three days? She said that she had been off for the last couple of days, and Tyler had insisted to her that I had gone missing on the property while she had been gone. His only proof, the fact that I never clocked out.
She had gone out into the woods as normal, to conserve the trails, when she had noticed bright orange camo just a bit off from her favorite of the trails, Rainbow Ridge. She shut off the fourwheeler, and walked towards the camo, just to find my burnt and concussed self on the ground. She started shaking me, which was when I finally woke up.
She asked what happened, and I said that I had probably gotten a concussion from falling off twice at the show beforehand. She asked how I ended up in the woods. I said that my disoriented self had probably just wandered off. She asked why my wrists were covered in rope burns, I vaguely answered that I had been testing knots on myself. She asked why I was burned despite wearing a jacket, and instead of replying I asked if we could grab food since I hadn't eaten in a while. She agreed, and slowly the avalanche of questions stopped coming.
She dropped me off after setting an alarm on my phone to wake me up the next morning for my appointment, and recommended that I try and get as much sleep as possible. As soon as my head hit the pillow I collapsed and fell asleep for over 18 hours. I awoke to Theo standing over me talking about how it would’ve been easier to rouse a dead man.
After the doctors, we found that I had a severe concussion (as expected), a dislocated shoulder (likely from my fall out of the pot filled with water), and ranging severities of burns on my legs and torso. The explanation I gave was that I had wandered into the woods, and had gotten sunburnt. Nobody bought it, but the questions ceased coming. I was prescribed salve, an arm sling for after my arm was relocated, and a bunch of pain medication. I was ordered not to go back to work for a while, but after the two week mark, I had gotten so bored that I ended up going back.
The “Pan Man '' as I like to call him now is a cannibalistic bodybuilder, who likes to follow me through the trees every couple of months or so. He’s tied me up a couple of other times, and has taken some small, albeit painful, chunks out of my flesh. I’ve recovered since. I would put him about a 6 on the danger scale. Getting caught by him is pretty painful, but his knots suck, and they’re relatively easy to get out of. He’s dangerous when nearby, but pretty easy to escape from, and pretty skittish after you have escaped.
Tyler and the owners seemed to accept the story that I gave, but Theo has been relentless ever since, trying to find out the real story. I’m almost ready to just tell her.

2022.01.26 02:07 jonlandit Question about Tormek sharpening
Hi folks. I’ve been watching a ton of videos about sharpening and starting to look at the Tormek sharpening system. It seems clear (from the videos I’ve watched) that people who use the default system (the stone upto 1k) still head to a stone of some sort to hone the blade a little more. That makes sense to me - but I’m a little curious about the honing angle.
I’m not accustomed to grinding blades but my understanding is that in doing so you will create a hollow grind. The videos seem to show folks grinding on a Tormek at 25 degrees, but then honing at say 30 degrees. I’m wondering why this is done. If the bevel has a tenure hollow grind that consumes the entire bevel, why not also hone at 25 degrees? Seems odd to me in a hollow grind scenario to hone at a different angle as there would be very little material to hone on both the back and the front of the hollow.
Is this done for a reason? Perhaps the angle on the Tormek isn’t precise and it’s easier just to hone at a higher angle to compensate?
Just curious. Thanks

2022.01.26 02:07 Impossible_Feed59 Frequent, terrifying nightmares about electronic devices being hacked, any thoughts?
Sorry in advance if this is a rant! I wanted to make a post about nightmares I've been having for the past few years now, as they have been increasingly frequent/intense and create a lot of stress for me when I wake up in the middle of the night and struggle to fall back asleep. This is not a particularly urgent question, and I definitely realize everyone struggles with nightmares (it's always important to know we're not the only ones grappling with an issue :D), but I am wondering if anyone here has an idea why I struggle with this particular topic of digital viruses in my nightmares.
I have never been a particularly nightmare-prone person, and for most of my life (20 years old, male), I have been a deep sleeper and not struggled with anxiety at night (I do have generalized anxiety and mild depression). For some reason, essentially all of my memorable nightmares in the past few years have had nothing to do with physical dangers like being killed, falling, etc. or other things like being cheated on, infidelity, etc....it has to do with being hacked. My phone, my computer, and even my car.
Usually a nightmare goes something like this: I accidentally click on some malicious file, it opens and starts running, computer is infected, and then everything on my computer is out of my hands. The screen starts turning colors, the camera turns on, the mic turns on, and I have the horrible feeling someone or something is watching me through the other side. I'm always alone in the nightmare, and it's just me and my hacked device, in an enclosed space, and I want to scream for help but I can't. When I wake up, my heart is pounding, I sometimes feel sick to my stomach, I'm sweating pinballs, and feel terrified that someone (or something, since it's often more of a general "something" that's lurking behind the computer screen that scares me) is spying on me. Most lately, nightmares are torturing me with the thought of hacked medical devices: in the nightmare, I have a pacemaker or something like that inside of me, suddenly I hear beating extremely loud and then the sound gets faster and faster until it's all I can hear, and I know I'm being controlled by someone's malware until it kills me.
I don't think of myself as a paranoid person usually, and I tend to root my ideas in logic and fact. I essentially never engage in media like shows or novels which deal with this kind of technological disaster. I suppose I do guard my privacy online very strictly when possible online, and I'm the type to keep my cameras covered if I can (of course, this is lessened because of Zoom during the pandemic lol). As far as I can tell, I have not experienced any hacking or any traumatic experiences due to malware on my devices, and I have struggled with anxiety and depression. I did struggle with hypochondria (health anxiety) when I was in my early teens.... Unfortunately, due to school and lots of work, my sleep schedule has been way off for the past year, and I spend a lot of time on my computer before I go to bed. Could my being on technology right before bed cause the nightmares about technology, perhaps? Do any of you have an idea of some general or specific psychological reason or something why I have this type of nightmare in particular, and why so frequently? If I got a frequent assortment of random-ish nightmares, I wouldn't suspect it's related to a particular issue, but since it's all related to technology and malware.... I really appreciate any feedback you redditors might have, and I'm definitely open to some healthy critique (I'll be working on fixing my sleep schedule :D). I'd also like hearing your experiences if you've had some similar issue.
Thanks for your time!
